Out of Yacht Rig Service and Inspection

At Rope Solutions we recommend that you have a full rigging inspection annually, regardless of how old your rigging is.

While work aloft rigging checks can be carried out, these are visual checks only. There may be faults that are not visible to the human eye. This is why we recommend regular out of yacht rigging inspections and services. It is recommended that you have an out of yacht rig inspection at least once every 5 years.

It should also be noted that Insurance companies request a professional rigging inspection and survey of the yacht when a boat is sold or if a new insurance policy is obtained. If the standing rigging is in excess of 7 to 10years, most insurance companies will not insure the yachts rigging.
